Our CEO Dan Buckley attended the first Business conference held by the Labour government in Wanganui on Friday the 29th of November, to help educate and engage with New Zealand business and open dialogue to create more involvement around policy creation.

Phil Twyford, Megan Woods, and Nanaia Mahuta opened the days discussion with some broad talk around building New Zealand, infrastructure and housing.

Megan woods, Chris Hipkin’s, Sam Huggard and Iain lees-Galloway spoke on the future of work and its implications for broader New Zealand.

Ingrid Cronin-Knight the Country Manager at MYOB spoke on issues facing small business and this was followed by a working lunch where the Prime minister Jacinda Ardern spoke about Labour’s impact on the economy and New Zealand’s future growth forecast.

Grant Robertson the Labour government Finance minister spoke on the state of the economy alongside Kirk Hope from Business New Zealand.

 

The event outlined the Labour government’s desire and willingness to engage with the Business community and really take on some thoughts from the attendees.
