  • "Since taking delivery of the Vanguard last Wednesday, we have done about 800km, and so speak with some experience of the vehicle. The car is driven by a quiet, peppy 2.4 litre motor, which handled the hills with ease, and together with the cruise control, the long straights we encountered on the journey comfortably. Petrol economy was good, …… 3/4 tank to Nelson, with a trip to Motueka thrown in......running time just under 6 hours. The cabin was quiet, roomy and had a large boot for storage of luggage at several levels. Controls for the car were handily placed for both the driver and front seat passenger……my wife was impressed with the radio/CD/Backing camera that was fitted, as it came with a remote control….and she enjoyed the role of entertainment officer, and climate control operator which allowed myself to drive with focus. To top off the weekend with friends and family…..the All Blacks won…..and the car ran superbly."
