Comment Highlights

  • "The printed manual seems to be for later generations of the Leaf only. Main issue is that given it is a manual trying to cover all different models it is actually VERY confusing to quickly find what you are after. I downloaded an original PDF version online instead which is much more convenient."
    — Carlo S - 2012 Nissan LEAF X 24KW
  • "I had been intrested in trying an electric car. This was a reasonable price for this car which is exellent condition and lovely to drive I am very pleased with it and have adjusted to the requirements of an EV quickly and found the information from the sales team was really helpfull....I am very happy with this car."
    — Alison M - 2012 Nissan LEAF
  • "Have no real complaints about the car, meets my needs nicely"
    — Alan B - 2012 Nissan LEAF G 24KW
  • "Stoked with our leaf 1100 km in first week no issues at all it's going very well trip to oamaru school runs etc on a very good power plan now for night charging with genesis energy best thing we could of done"
    — Logan C - 2012 Nissan Leaf EV
  • "Save soo much on gas!"
    — Jamie K - 2012 Nissan Leaf
  • "Excellent vehicle build and finish, very well engineered. Quiet vehicle with a high level of driver and passenger comfort. Styling could be better especially the rear end. I would like to see the driver interface in English rather than Japanese."
    — Stratatec LTD - 2012 Nissan LEAF G 24KW
  • "Ensure that you have considered how you will use the car. Daily mileage, longest trip in the day, will you need to top up during the day, if so, how and where. Understand battery performance - look on the internet and read the customer satisfaction surveys... The Leaf scored 94% in one survey for overall reliability. The best in class..."
    — Jonathan W - 2012 Nissan LEAF X 24KW
  • "It’s a fabulously fun car to drive. The acceleration is thrilling, the car handles well, and the ride is really comfortable, it just glides along. It is a drivers car! The big downside is the limited distance range. Even though we got an extremely good state of health battery for its age, the real life range is only around 90kms, making it a very much second car in addition to our conventional one. This is a shame because it’s so much fun to drive we would love to be able to drive it everywhere rather than just around town."
    — Tristan R - 2012 Nissan LEAF G 24KW
  • "low mileage when driving the ev takes a lot to get used to not having a back up and needing a power source"
    — Keith B - 2012 Nissan LEAF G
  • "The unknowns about battery life are a concern and it’s worth doing your homework. The downloaded (spi?) report still remains bit of a mystery,"
    — David C - 2012 Nissan LEAF X 24KW
  • "I would have preferred to have picked up a generation 2 over the gen 1 I ended up getting, but there wasn’t one available at the time. The car is performing great and still very happy with it."
    — Paul M - 2012 Nissan LEAF x
  • "Being electric fuel economy doesn’t exist. Was advised about drive & eco mode for driving. Eco advisable especially driving around the city. Best to know about charging battery to 100% once a week, other times if necessary to charge to 80%, better for the battery. You probably could charge to 80% all the time depending on mileage you need to do @ one time. I wasn’t told that my grandson researched it for me."
    — Barbara F - 2012 Nissan LEAF G 10srs cruise
  • "It can handle the 100km per charge pretty well. just make sure that is all you need."
    — Harpal K - 2012 Nissan LEAF x
  • "Very hard to trust how much km you have left to drive"
    — Khenko S - 2012 Nissan Leaf 24G Gen1
  • "Extremely happy with it. A brilliant around-town car, that has next to no running costs. Still need to keep another car for long out-of-town journeys though."
    — Gregory T - 2012 Nissan Leaf G Cruise 10 srs
  • "battery range is awful, and drops quickly independent of the actual distance I travel, with low acceleration and minimal hills travelled"
    — Marise S - 2012 Nissan LEAF G
  • "lovely car"
    — Chelsea R - 2012 Nissan LEAF G
  • "Excellent car, bigger than I thought. Guilt free motoring and virtually free to run, what more could you want!"
    — Sandra D - 2012 Nissan Leaf G 10srs Top spec
  • "Once you go electric, you won't want another gas guzzler ever again! So much cheaper to run and instant torque makes it very fun to drive."
    — Paul J - 2012 Nissan LEAF G Cruise 8 airbag
  • "Brilliant car except for short battery life."
    — Mithran K - 2012 Nissan LEAF G 73% SOH
